Depression

Bubbles Kandhari-Depression

Depression by Bubbles Kandhari

There comes a time in each one’s life

When everything seems to go wrong

An innocent touch to a gold object

Would simply turn it bronze.

Does it happen to everyone

Or is it to the unlucky few

That from the sky the fresh dew drops

Becomes the curse from the blue.

This depressing period engulfs you

As a lowest ebb in life

When you are thought of wrongly

Even by your husband or wife.

Supernatural courage is what you need

To stand against all odds

Extra confidence you will have to feed

To brave out from these sorts.

You do not know who is with you

You do not know what this is for

All you know is something will brew

To hurt the wounds still raw.

All was well a while ago

Everything just hunky-dory

Then how this misery could simply grow

Is it from love, money, power or glory?

Everyone seems against you

Or is it just state of mind

It shakes confidence within you

Is something suddenly wrong with world

Or is it simply you.

I surrender – I give up

I shudder to think

If we would drown in a pool of depression

The waves of the sea engulfing us

Welcoming us wickedly in their arms.

Now we must not succumb

To this conniving and conspiring ocean

This is a test of our endurance

A test from God Almighty

He puts to test his chosen few

To see the extent of faith in Him

The heat of the fire in which we burn

Will bring out the shine on our faces again.
