Unknown Cause

Bubbles Kandhari-Unknown Cause

Unknown Cause by Bubbles Kandhari

Two lonely eyes haunt me

The noise of the gun deafens me

The smell of fire nauseates me

Waves of the sea will engulf me.

I am afraid –

Afraid to live in this sinister world

Afraid of people killing one another

Senseless killings for an unknown cause

Unknown for they know not what they think they do.

They think they are doing it for a cause

But in fact undoing their very own cause

The essence of good being is to love and respect all

Then why uproot the basis – only to tumble and fall.

God is one almighty – despite His varied names and shrines

They cannot confine Him to any one kind

With love and understanding cannot all bind?

For all of these are roads with the same end in mind.

A house of worship should be sacred and stand tall

Then why this insanity for a place for all

God have mercy and make them see sense

For they know not their religion’s true essence.

Like lost children they have forgotten the right track

Please lead kindly light – to bring them together and back.
